Quick opinions:
What do you guys think about MLB moving opening day to Thursday?
For one, I think it's cool having the first game of the year during the day again. Although, I do wish it was on a weekend. For the past 7 years or so, I have had a standing "dentist" appointment on Monday afternoons to get home and watch the Mets first game. Figures this year I am out of work, and their first game is on a Friday night.

Once I get a teaching job I plan on having every first day of the NCAA tourney off, I've always skipped class or took off work for it since I got out of high school. Baseball's the same way, but luckily around here high schools get out at 2:30 so I won't miss much on opening dayMets wrote:Quick opinions:

They'll never move opening day to the weekend. Most teams sell very well during the weekend. Opening day is an opportunity to have a sell out during the week. I took a vacation day yesterday. The Cards blew, but I still had a lot of fun. Rode my bike down to the stadium at 7:30 AM and stood in line for 2 hours and got 2 SRO tickets for $5.60 a piece.
