Call me an asshole, but I'm pretty sure it shouldn't take 10 days to veto something and not tell anyone about it.

Even just a goddamn email would suffice - and then I can put together a trade appeal.

This is totally unacceptable...and I am royally pissed off...

A-Rod and NY get along about as well as things that don't get along very well. I was talking with some other Yanks fans in the office, and we all agreed that we would have taken the figgins/santana/prospect deal for ARod. We know it's 50 cents on the dollar, but it shores up the back end of our rota...

Then Bren, my friend, you have clearly never dated an attractive woman (not that I didn't intuitively think different).

All HOT girls/women are crazy on some level and to varying degrees. I defy someone to argue that with picture evidence.

It's not a rule that procludes someone from being in the Hall of Fame. HE signed the agreement that he would be banned from baseball. He has repeatedly proven he's an idiot - gambling and being an idiot are NOT criteria for the Hall of Fame.

My vote is to induct him the year after he dies.

Really? Not necessarily a mistake or a problem? Would you like to ask Andre Rison about that? How about Shawn Kemp? How about Calvin Murphy? How about Magic Johnson? How about Tommy Morrison? How about Larry Johnson? How about Patrick Ewing? How about Juwon Howard? How about Scottie Pippen? How abou...

Clearly, Bren, you have not read/seen "The Natural." Hobbs was seduced by a strange woman who was enamored with his potential. That is involved in the trappings of fame - Hobbs was a casualty of being reckless with his celebrity (he garnered it from striking out the Babe Ruth character). D...

Ty Cobb is a noted gambler and probably one of the worst individuals ever - he's in the Hall of Fame. Gaylord Perry put more crap on a baseball then every other pitcher combined. The list doesn't stop there. I think Pete Rose is one of the most despicable men of all-time - but it's not the "Bas...

Roy Hobbs

I'm not sure how many youngsters in this league (feels weird to say that now) have ever seen or read "The Natural," but I thought this was awesome for all of us oldies. https://www2.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=38702534&postID=5987132489875045794 Trying to think about it, I think the p...

I think an argument about baseball mechanics is just patently absurd anyway. You can site hundreds of examples of pitchers with both clean mechanics and bad mechanics having injuries and being workhorses. Clean mechanics usually create a faster or more moving pitch, while funky deliveries usually cr...

Agree with Shawn and my AL central brother here - I think this is an example of how we also need to be wary of swinging too far to the "what will he SIM" side AS WELL AS the "he's a prospect" side. Patton is clearly a top-notch LH prospect - Diamond is iffy, Casto will never be a...

Jesus guys, there needs to be one legitimate prospect in a trade for Schilling - and there just isn't in this one...

There are some moderate, low ceiling guys - but nothing that warrants Schilling.

Ok, I'm really confused now - Jake you can't be seriously saying that Foulke deserves to be in the Hall of Fame - I appreciate the fact that he threw out his career in 2004, agree he was great in his prime, and agree that relievers are generally disregarded unfairly in HOF talk, but I'm pretty sure ...
