Roster Construction

We need to mandate that all teams must have an active catcher. It's more important (probably) than our 10-pitcher mandate.

I thought we took care of this a couple years ago, but I don't think the thoughts ever left my head. Nate had been playing a few weeks with an OF at C, and it has such a huge impact. Thought I brought it up then, but I didn't.

Thoughts?

Yes, that's ridiculous.

The 10-pitcher mandate and this...these are basically just requirements to ensure competitive play? Is there anything else to it?

Only to keep the game competitive really. Not having a catcher is about a 100 run swing in a season for a team. That's a lot and it can really impact the playoff races.

Ok. I'm good with making it a requirement. Otherwise, you're not really trying.

No issue here. As I mentioned to JP earlier today, if people feel that strongly about it, it needs to be a rule not a judgment call.
