Such a garbage game from the Giants. Zero second half adjustments. McCarthy outcoached McAdoo and blaming anything on the Florida trip is lazy. Yes, there were drops, but no, I don't think a trip six days ago was the cause. But kudos for GB for outplaying in the second half. Dammit, don't let the Cowboys win anything...

Interesting to see everyone else picking KC over Pittsburgh. Personally I'd never pick Andy Reid in a playoff game (the Philly fans I know still froth a bit at the mention of his name), and I certainly wouldn't pick a mediocre game manager like Smith over a proven playoff QB like Roethlisberger. Throw in Bell against KC's soft run D and you've got an ugly game in the making for KC.

Arrowhead is one of the biggest home-field advantages in the NFL, and KC has found the kind of game-breaking playmaker in Tyreek Hill that can turn a short, accurate pass in space from a "game manager" like Smith into six points at any moment. Great secondary and pass rushers if they can score early and force Pittsburgh to play catch-up through the air. My second pick is all about taking Aaron Rodgers and the jaw-dropping level of skill with which he is playing the QB position right now over rookie Dak Prescott. Simple as that. Atlanta's due, aren't they? It's dumb to bet against Seattle in the postseason, and maybe dumber to bet on Atlanta given recent history, but I'm doing it anyway. The offense is historically good and they have some dynamic youngsters on defense so I like their shot here. So annoyed the Pats only have to beat Brock Osweiler to steal the Raiders record for consecutive conf championship game appearances. Slightly tougher facing the 70s Steelers and Dolphins when Oakland went every year from '73 to '78. Slightly. :{|

Jeez, KC looked almost as bad as Houston this weekend... at least Houston had the excuse of having to go on the road. That GB/Dallas game was pretty spectacular though. Always good to see Dallas lose.

4/4 last week this weeks games are a lot tougher.
Green Bay over Atlanta - Atlanta's D still hasn't sold me on anything and Aaron Rodgers is a man on a mission.
New England over Pittsburgh - This is tough from a personnel standpoint, but New England is Big Ben's kryptonite, the only time he has won there was against Matt Cassel. On an organizational note, on one hand you have a team that won by 18 and all they can talk about is what they did wrong and have to improve. And on the other hand you have a team that won by 2 with a head coach who in the past has interfered with a play on the field, has criminals on his coaching staff, and a QB who has a problem with collecting rape accusations and yet the other guys are "assholes" Tomlin is a friggin joke. An absolutely classless organization.

It's New England. In the Superbowl. With Brady and Belichick.
You Patriots haters can take solace in this... just think how much handing a SB trophy and SB MVP trophy to Brady is going to piss Goodell off. Because no way is New England losing this. Their offense is just as good as Atlanta's, and the Falcons D isn't on the same level as New England's.
