Teams Moving
Spring Training isn't that far away, so we need to get moving with a few offseason items.
First, we're still looking for a Miami GM. If you know somebody capable, please gchat or PM me.
We'll have a little team movement this offseason. Gudim will move from Kansas City to take over the Twins, since he's a Twins fan. Ian will move to Kansas City. When I create the rest of the playoff banners for the team pages, you'll see the AH logos on those as you do Hamlin's WS banner. I'll try to get around to that before the draft.
We've got Miami open. If anybody wants the Marlins and can make a sound case for moving, please contact me and we'll get it discussed in ExCo.

Nils has requested to move back to the National League and take his roster to Miami.
After thoughtful consideration, ExCo has approved this move. We are allowing this to be somewhat of an exception to our moving guidelines for a few reasons. First, Nils has been a longstanding member of the league and is one of the most active and accomplished GMs we have. That certainly was a factor in our consideration. Secondly, with the exception of the last two years, Nils has spent his entire tenure in the NL. After two years, Nils disliked having the DH, and requested the move back to the NL. Given Nils' strong history and his lack of history in Oakland - we're not uprooting an rivals - we've allowed Nils' request to move.
Miami's roster will move to Oakland, and we are continuing our search for a GM for that team.

I think I decided this morning. I mean, I decided this morning I went day to day. I wake up one morning, it's this team. I wake up another morning, it's this team. And it's a process that I felt it was I may feel like this is the best opportunity for me or not the best opportunity for me.
But this morning I woke up, had a great conversation with my mom. Once I had that conversation with her, I think I was set.
The last time I changed my mind was probably in my dreams. And when I woke up this morning I knew it was the right decision.
In this fall, this is very tough, in this fall I'm going to take my talents to South Beach and join the Miami Marlins.
That was the conclusion I woke up with this morning.

This is Nils' (sad, weird, incapable) way of trying to be funny.Padres wrote:Are you high?Athletics wrote:I think I decided this morning. I mean, I decided this morning I went day to day. With Nils' relocation, Jag asked to move from Arizona to Oakland. For much the same logic as we allowed Nils to move, we are allowing Jag to move. He's been in the league for over a decade, and is an AL guy.
The IBC Kershaws will head to Arizona, as we still look to fill that vacancy, along with Tampa Bay.
