The ExCo, after lengthy consideration, has decided that starting with the 2008 IBC Rookie Draft (which follows the 2008 regular season) the IBC will use an NFL style draft order.
The first 22 picks will go to the non-playoff teams by regular season record (with pythagorean record as a tiebreaker).
Picks 23-26 will go to the teams eliminated in the LDS, in order of reg season record (pythag tiebreaker)
Picks 27, 28 will go to the teams eliminated in the LCS, in order of reg season record
Pick 29 will go to the WS loser
Pick 30 will go to the WS winner

Can't say I don't like it.
It sucks for that 84 win team from a weak division that gets hot at the right time and goes to the WS....but I still like the idea.
