A quartet of IBC Marlins pitching prospects popped up on this week's BA Prospect Hot Sheet...
Blake Snell - The 22 year-old southpaw has yet to allow a run in 40 IP between Hi-A and AA this season. Snell has surrendered a paltry 16 hits in that span. The modern minor league record for a single-season scoreless streak is 57.7 IP.
Alex Reyes - The 20 year-old Cards righty has dominated the Hi-A FSL with a heater reportedly touching triple digits at times. His 11 Ks in a 6-inning start this week marks his third double-digit K game of the young season. Reyes' 1.95 ERA and league-leading 52 K's in 32 IP make him a candidate to shoot to the top of prospect lists at season's end.
Jose De Leon - The Dodgers righthander has posted consecutive 12 K starts in the Hi-A California League, where he leads the circuit with 50 punchouts on the season. The 22 year-old seems poised for a promotion to AA in short order.
Jordan Guerrero - With 10 Ks in 7 IP, the White Sox lefty ran his record to 4-0 with a 1.58 ERA and 42 Ks over 40 IP in the Class A SAL. The 21 year-old Californian has allowed 0 or 1 runs in 5 of his 6 starts on the season.
