Gabe

Post by Astros »

I think the time has come to discuss Gabe. I hate to be the one to bring it up, I feel like I'm Judas and I'm not getting 30 pieces of silver. He's had 3 DL violations, never sent in an MP. I know his life is kind of hectic right now, but the past couple of years he's done virtually nothing to his team. With an active GM that roster could've contended.

Is it time to consider removing him?

I just saw the injury violations. This is getting dicey. Since you know him, do you know if he has any interest in actually GM'ing still?

He's the only GM who hasn't attempted to send an MP. Bren has two violations, but at least "hand-wrote" an MP while he was at the Star Wars convention... nothing since, though. But yeah, nada from Gabe.

When we hung out a couple weeks ago he mentioned needing to get a Co-GM because he didn't know who a lot of players were anymore. Usually we'd talk about the IBC for at least an hour any other time we'd be together. I just don't think he has the interest nor the knowledge anymore

That's really not good. I'm open to sending an official message to him saying that he's on his last chance and any further non-activity will force us to remove him. I'd hate to have to kick him, since he's been an original member, but there's a time when it's appropriate

He didn't come in until after JP did. Or they joined at the same time. Honestly he's pretty much been inactive since 2011, but we all like Gabe and he's been given a ton of rope. I don't know that he needs/should get an ultimatum at this point. He's been my friend since 6th grade but IMO the time has come for us to move on

I don't know Gabe except from the IBC. His increasing lack of activity has been noticeable. If he were not Gabe he would be gone by now.

He last sent an MP May 12, 2014 (four total last year), and sent seven in 2013, with the latest on coming Aug. 6. Looks like he sent four in 2012.

So, between 2012-present, he's sent 15 MPs, and his most recent one nearly a year ago. I don't know if an ultimatum will mean anything. He just doesn't care.

Was just telling JP, I think my preference would be to boot Gabe but tell him that he'd be welcome back if things get back to where he is confident that he could be active.

Yea I think it's pretty clear he has to go. Not sending a roster at the beginning of the season is just inexcusable.

I'm on board with that. If Shawn is, then that makes it 6-0.

Alright, that's settled then. Aaron, since you know him, would you rather reach out to him or do you want me to do it? I'm ok either way, but since he's your friend I figure it's up to you.
