The Pirates will honor team MVP Mike Trout as well. Trout played in all 162 games for Pittsburgh, hitting .312/.415/.545 with 199 hits, 30 home runs, 41 doubles, 9 triples, 82 RBI, 137 runs scored, with 39 stolen bases -- and he was only thrown out five times.
Further, Trout destroyed the postseason, hitting .444/.565/1.056 in the 5-game NLDS against the Marlins, with 3 home runs, two doubles, 5 walks (3 Ks) and a steal. Trout kept it up in the 6-game NLCS, hitting .400/.600/.900, with a double, three triples, a home run, and 10 walks (3 Ks).
In the World Series, Trout hit .409/.480/.955, with three doubles, three homers, 8 runs scored, 3 walks and just four strike outs.
Needless to say, the Pirates do not win the World Series without him.
