2007 IBC Playoff Predictions and Matchups

It's tough to bet against Vlad, Pujols, Mauer, Felix, Zambrano, Wang, Rivera et al in a short series. Oakland's got Haren, Glavine, Glaus, the eternal Russ Branyan, Jacobs, Ervin and Street to close the door as well as homefield, but I have to say New York will win this series in four games.

Santana, Smoltz, Bonds...its tough to bet against that, though the Twins have had a great year, I can't see them getting to the LCS here. Blue Jays in 4 as well, despite Pettitte, Howard and Co. I don't see the Twins having the depth necessary, though the short series favors that.

Ill get to the NL in a bit.

NL Predictions ( sorry NL brothers, too late /tired to make you nice graphics tonight)

STL over LA in a thrilling 5 game NLDS- the pitching of the Cards is too much

ATL over CIN in a 4 game set- Brandon was on top of the NL for most of the year and I like his pitching.

I think Jake pulls one off over JB... JB is generally a playoff choker.

Whatever sim choking tendencies JB has pale in comparison to Ervin Santana's suckiness in an Oakland uniform. Someone offer me something for him.

Yanks over the A's in 5 and BJ's top the Twins in 5. The Evil Empire takes the ALCS and makes it to the World Series in 6 ...

Cardinals topple the Dodgers in 5 and the Reds beat the Braves in 4. The Red Birds beat the Reds in 6 winning the NLCS and take on the Yankees.

The Yankees'a hitting overcomes the Cards' pitching and takes it all in 6 games.

(Just a gut feeling and checking a number of boxes ... didn't SIM anything ...)

I know and I made you a ridiculously bad counteroffer IIRC. Lemme look at your roster again.

ugh..

sorry guys.. between issues at home, the rockies improbable run & the ensuing fever around here.. & not yet getting my computer HDD issues fixed(i think I only lost the last 6 months of 5+ years of data.. which still sucks) I've had little time to figure out how to get the reds show goin..

I'm in the midsts of securing a laptop from my previous employer & should have that done later today(thurs).. if that falls through for whatever reason, then perhaps I can(w/approval of course) have some other GM if willing hook up with brandon h2h while I relay game decisions to them, although that could get tedious.. I dunno.

otherwise, & I reallty don't want to have to do this, its submit a lineup a have the sim generate the outcome...

hope to have more clarity today.. apologies.. just a big ol' shitstorm of a life lately. & its turned another corner since john suggested an award for me(thx btw :P).. seriously, you can't make this shit up...
