To Ryan Dempster! A player I've never cared for who I'd rather wasn't on my favorite team but who did what I think most baseball fans would agree should have been done sooner (and more often!)

Dempster looked pathetic, as did Boston as a whole, but that's nothing new. 4 hilariously awful attempts to hit a target much larger than the strike zone, umpires swooping in to save every pussy on the Red Sox because God forbid they have to take their licks like everybody else, and then they allow him to hit an absolute BOMB on you and rally his team for a victory.

Only the Red Sox could turn A-Rod into the good (well, less shitty) guy in this situation. Kudos Boston.

Another Yankee fan in our office and I were literally just talking about this. We were both absolutely done with A-Rod (and we had both been supporters) UNTIL this event. Screw what you said, Dempster did the impossible...he made A-Rod look better. I did not think that was possible.

The big take away is the Yankees are still in fourth and they still have 4 years/$100 million left on that contract.

If the Yankees team had any sort of integrity, they'd have sat quietly in the dugout when A-rod got plunked. That dickbag being allowed to step onto a playing field, much less have an effect on any playoff race, is an embarrassment to all of baseball.

Dempster taking four pitches to do it... the guy just sucks, I'll never argue against that. But at least he did it, which is more than can be said about anyone else.

That said, Dempster is a puss with shitty control. Don't waste two pitches trying to cover up what you and everyone in the continental U.S. knows you are trying to do.
