Maybe a little early for this, but gotta keep interested now that I'm outta the race. Here's the quick and dirty version of the 08 Orioles (so far). (updated 10/13)

1. Carl Crawford CF, L (.315/.355/.466, 50 SB)
2. Troy Tulowitzki SS, R (.291/.359/.479, 24 HR)
3. David Ortiz DH/1B, L (.332/.445/.621, 35 HR)
4. Aramis Ramirez 3B, R (.310/.366/.549, 26 HR)
5. Hideki Matsui LF, L (.285/.367/.488, 25 HR)
6. Hunter Pence RF, R (.322/.360/.539, 17 HR, 11 SB)
7. Jeff Kent, 2B/1B R (.302/.375/.500, 20 HR)
8. Ben Broussard 1B, L (.275/.330/.404)
9. Gerald Laird C, R/ Javier Valentin C, S

B Ian Kinsler 2B, R (.263/.355/.441, 20 HR, 23 SB)
B Scott Hairston OF, R (.243/.313/.423)
B Jack Hannahan 3B/1B, L (.278/.369/.452)
B Justin Maxwell CF, R (.269/.296/.500)

1. Ben Sheets, R (3.54/1.20)
2. Justin Verlander, R (3.56/1.23)
3. Dustin McGowan, R (4.08/1.22)
4. Micah Owings, R (4.30/1.28)
5. Boof Bonser, R/ Adam Miller, R/ Gio Gonzalez, L/ Zach Duke, L

CL Chad Cordero, R (3.36/1.39, 37 SV)
SU Luis Ayala, R (3.19/1.30)
SU Jamie Walker, L (3.23/1.21, .216 v LH)
MR Justin Miller, R (3.65/1.25, .184 v RH)
MR Jeremy Affeldt, L (3.51/1.36)
LR Henry Owens, R/ Jim Hoey, R

I'd put my young lineup against just about any in the league, and I should be pretty good defensively.

I'll need health from Sheets, good projections from Verlander, and then hope for one or two of Bonser, Owings, Miller, Gonzalez, Duke or Patterson to get decent projections and hold down the back end of the rotation.

Obviously have a few areas I could get stronger in, so for those looking towards offseason deals I'll be looking to add a young C, maybe move some of my young pitching for an upgrade at #3 SP, and always could use pen help.

I like my lineup and bullpen for next season...the rotation is a bit top heavy but I reckon that I can do some trading this offseason to improve the back end. I anticipate having a target on my back and look forward to putting down the insurgencies of those looking to challenge my developing hegemony.

6. Bulger RH--(55.0 IP, 53 H, 27 BB, 83 K, .249 BAA AAA, MLB)

More than 25, but who knows if half these guys will get a decent projection. The Rays may be tough on LHP next year. Lefties that miss out on the number 5 slot in the rotation probably end up in the pen to break up the RHP parade.

Just admiring my squad while trying to avoid looking at JB's team. Minny/Detroit/KC have a battle on their hands the next couple of seasons. Some scary good youngsters on those clubs.

Need another power bat in the lineup...pitching will be strength. Should only need 6 to 7 innings out of four very good SPs and one who Bobby Cox thinks will be a #2 SP someday soon.

Alot more young talent on this team than last year. I think I took the right steps this year in acquiring talent. I won't contend, but I don't see a completely lost season ahead of me.
