It looks like the MLB is going to go to ten playoff teams this year, and so will we as a result.
We should modify our rules though with seeding. We've had the top seed in each league face whoever has the worst record, regardless of winning the division or wild card. Whoever is the #1 seed in each league should definitely get to face the winner of the wild cards, since it's much more of an advantage pitching wise.

Under the terms of the new collective bargaining agreement, there will be two wild card teams in each league instead of one. The two wild cards will then play each other in a one-game playoff, with the winner advancing to the Division Series.
The winner of the one-game playoff between the two wild-card entrants will face the team with the league's best record in the Division Series. The expansion is designed in part to place a greater reward to the six division winners. ... Division winners will avoid the one-game playoff in the new format.
The new postseason format will eliminate the rule that teams from the same division can no longer face one another in the first round. In fact, three teams could quality for the playoffs from the same division.
