Contender?
Contender?
If we add another Wildcard, I was wondering how many people see their IBC team as a possible playoff contender this year? 10 available spots is 1/3 of the league.
Red Sox will contend this year.

We should just skip the playoffs and give everyone a trophy.RedSox wrote:10 available spots is 1/3 of the league.

This whole wins and loses thing is giving me a complex. I don't know if I am going to be able to succeed in life now because I got my ass handed to me during the season last year. I think I might have unrepairable mental trama from the losses I suffered last season.
We'd all be better off in life if we just gave everyone a trophy for participating and not kept track of wins or losses.

The Dbacks were pretty confident until recently looking at the NL West ZiPS. But now, once the Dodgers shore up a couple holes, they will be right there. The 'rebuilding' Giants have a talented club minus premiere levels 'yet', but keep them around until after the All-Star break, and you could see GM Erickson making moves for 'now'. The Rox need a couple/few pitcher/players, which GM Levine has been know to acquire in waves, before they can be counted on for more than 85 wins. The Padres with 11 players from B.A.'s Top-100, will have to wait to contend.
Bottom line, the Dbacks need a great April like the franchise has never had, and then of course, avoid injuries.

With my top-3 averaging a +128 in the rotation, I should get the pitching to keep me in some games.
I still have 2-3 upgrades that can be made to the lineup - however, my team is not as deep as a lot of the other teams in the NL.
Looking forward to another mediocre season which will keep me competitive just long enough to trade the rest of my prosects for aging veterans with good projections - just in time to lose Josh Johnson and JJ Putz for the final 2 months of the year and finish with a classic low-mid 80's win team.
Hello draft pick in the 14-17 range again.
