New Tigers GM, Again

Post by Cardinals »

ExCo decided to remove Jeff Hay from the league for various reasons, with the last straw being failing to cut players as he drafted, forcing the ExCo to cut players for him. I don't think we've had to cut players before, so it was a pretty big strike in our book.

That said, we've already got a replacement, and we're quite confident he'll do well. Pat Gillespie is coming back to the league and will take over for Detroit immediately. Pat left after the 2005 season, after losing to Nils in the World Series. Pat has settled down in recent years and now has time for the league again, and I'm sure everybody here who remembers him will certainly be happy that he's back.

We also decided to let Pat make the decision on which three players to cut.

I told him he had to give me McCutch, Johnson, and a toss in for coming back so he should be good with the roster crunch.

Welcome back Pat!
