Basically... there's two things going on here:

Craig submits rosters, right?
He does nothing else. NOTHING.

Ryan doesn't submit rosters
He does try to engage in some trade talk when IM'ed.

The only transaction Craig has made since trading one of the top young pitchers (keyword young) has been...oh wait, he hasn't since. Besides that trade, the only moves in 2007 have been those pertaining to the draft.

Ryan has dealt with me in the last month and I know Aaron has spoken to him..about what, I don't know and it's probably irrelevant but the point is he replies to messages.

Craigs roster, since the Peavy trade on APRIL FIRST, has been sitting at 53. Don't the rules say we have to be at 50? This guy has had 3 extra players for a good 3-4 months. That's kinda lame.

I don't even have a problem with Craig as a person. He's a good guy. He's easy to talk to....when you can talk to him. Which is rare. if were going to crucify Ryan for not submitting a roster, then how about Craig for being over the roster limit for the entire IBC season so far?

My vote kept Craig in the league last time because I didn't know about the roster thing. Let's revote on him too, I'll change my vote.

I have to say, one of my main problem with booting either or both is we dont have GMs lined up.

JP, Have you contacted Craig recently about a trade? About his roster? You complained before that I hadn't reached out to Ryan, have you reached out to Craig recently about a trade? Has anyone emailed or IMed him about his roster?

Yes, I have. And Craig says he doesn't wish to make any roster moves.

Does that make sense when hes withing striking distance of the playoffs?

If thats the case and he LOVES his roster, WHY is he at 53? Do you think he even knows whats on his roster?

I can't speak for craig, but personally if I was in his situation, I'd say I want to be within striking distance of winning a championship, not just getting to the playoffs in a softish division.

That said, he answered your email, you may not have liked the answer, but you rarely like my responses when you ask me about trades either.

I sent Craig a notice about his roster (and BCC'd everyone else) if he doesn't address his roster size within a week, I'd vote for his removal.

It's not that I dislike his answer, but what does he contribute to the league? what?

Whats the difference between having Craig as a GM or as a pet rock for the past 7 months or so aside from trading a top young SP?

How many GM's do you think you can say that about here? He keeps his DL up to date and he replies to emails, that's more than can be said about some of our other GM's. How much has Nate contributed in the last few months? How about Nils? You want a guy who talks trade and shoots the shit. I want a guy who takes the time to address the DL, the biggest problem the league has faced throughout the entire length of the league's history, BEFORE he shoots the shit. Your words would mean a whole lot IMO more if you hadn't spent so much time defending a GM who is worse.
Tell me, how do YOU defend voting to keep him in spite of being the worst DL offender in the league and continuing to not send in a roster after being warned he had to?
Have you emailed Craig at any point and said that he needs to be more active? Or is that something I need to do?
