Well we've all by now seen Gabe's post, about how, being mad that I beat him twice in a row, started Ronny Paulino in Game 3 of our series to try and throw the game, only somehow managed to win. I think we need a new rule where position players cannot start a game. This is not sour grapes btw, I won 2 of 3 so I'm not complaining.
Now I want to be clear here because I've done it and I know others have. There are sometimes where, in a blowout to save your pen, you bring in a position player and let him pitch a couple innings. I know me and JP, this year to save relievers when pitch counts were high, have brought in a position player for one batter for an intentional walk. This is strategy and cannot be prohibited. However, starting a position player is not strategy, it is an insult to members of the league and we need to put a stop to it before anyone else tries it.

Yeah it's pretty weak. We all get frustrated with our teams, but he basically tried to give the game to you. It's not only that he started Paulino, but brought in Pennington to close a 7-3 game out. For somebody who is vocal about retroactively enforcing minor league penalties, it's pretty weak to see somebody essentially try to throw a game by starting Paulino, bringing in Jose Bautista for middle relief before giving way to an actual pitcher in Juan Gutierrez before allowing Cliff Pennington to finish the game. I think it's far more ridiculous and egregious than somebody carrying only the required amount of database players.
