2009 was...disappointing. 2010, hopefully less so.
C Brandon Inge/Wilson Ramos
1B Adam LaRoche
2B Freddy Sanchez
SS Luis Valbuena
3B Brandon Inge/Mark Teahen/Allen Craig/Danny Valencia
RF Michael Cuddyer
CF Matt Kemp
LF Johnny Gomes
DH Jim Thome
Bench
Rod Barajas
non-winning 3B
Brendan Harris
Rajai Davis
A non-stellar lineup but decently solid (particularly in the outfield). Upgrades to the middle infield would be ideal.
J.A. Happ
Joel Pineiro
Nick Blackburn
Madison Bumgarner
Jeff Francis/Scott Lewis
No ace in the bunch THIS year (Bumgarner 2011!) but all five rotation slots are filled by quality arms (basically 2 #2 arms, 3-4 #3s , 2-3 #4s)
Heath Bell (CL)
Mike Wuertz
Rafael Betancourt
Ron Mahay
Anthony Slama
Craig Kimbrel
Losers out of the race for final rotation spots
Again not a terrible bullpen but it could use an infusion.
Conclusions:
The lineup needs a kick in the pants, perhaps to the effect of picking up a bit more of a stud. I have the spare parts, particularly in the rotation to do it. Only Kemp and Bumgarner should be considered as untouchable; the rest can be had.[/b]
