Looking for a Middle Infielder

Post by Tigers »

I'm looking for a 2b or SS to pair with Cabrera long term. I don't have much depth in my system in the middle infield outside of the newly transitioned Brett Lawrie, 2b. Ideally, I'd like to find a SS to pair with him, doesn't have to be at the MLB level yet, but would like someone at least at AA or higher or with a few seasons under their belt in the majors.

Open to any ideas. Give me a shout if you've got someone that fits that description laying around in the wood pile.

He never said he had to be good longterm haha. Let the M's trade for Lugo, it only helps the rest of us in the division.

Well I only think in terms of single years, so since Lugo has at least 2 more thanks to his contract that makes him a long term solution.

Anyone who actually thinks Lugo fits that description obviously has a few screws loose.

That isn't even close to the worst offer that gets thrown around this league. I thought I'd just state publicly the kind of player who usually gets offered from these kind of posts.

I figured you throwing Lugo's name out there was a shot at some humor, cause it was pretty funny.

It was starting to look like others were taking it a bit more serious, though.

I'm also looking for a longer term answer at 1b if anyone has any young 1b laying around. AA or higher.......

Going to need to move Delgado over to DH at some point, so a young 1b will be needed.
