Call me crazy, I bought it...and I realize I'm leaving myself wide open on that one.

When you root for someone it's easy to buy into their crap, just like how for years I wanted to believe Bonds never did steroids. FWIW, a number of New York outlets had communication experts watching the press conference to read A-Rod's body language and such, one of whom was my grandmother (for the NY Daily News), and her opinion was that he was not being truthful (I'll post the article when it comes out). All I know is that if I'm the FBI I'm rounding up every Rodriguez cousin, that guy is gonna get his own reality show.

You can ask any other Yankee fan I know - the one Yankee I don't proactively root for is A-Rod. I'm glad when he does something good - but I'm the first to yell at him.

I would love to see those articles...

his answer to every question was "i was young, i was stupid." one reporter asked him roughly, "so you are claiming you injected yourself a minimum of 36 times and you are also claiming you didnt understand exactly what you were injecting you yourself with?" his answer - "i was young and i was stupid." i didnt but any of his bullshit. he knew exactly what he was doing and since when is 26, 27 years old young? he made it sound like he was 18. the dude made himself look like a clown if you ask me.

He's just confirming what most people have thought all along. The guy is a douchebag that's had everything handed to him on a silver platter, so he doesn't know how to take responsibility for his actions

One thing I noticed over repeat hearings, is it just me or did his accent get a little thicker during the press conference than it usually is? If he did I'm sure his publicist convinced him it would make him sound more naive or something, but I didn't hear anything like that in his speech in Miami.

especially after having signed that 250+ million dollar deal. He's gonna inject himself with something he didn't know what it was ? if he IS telling the truth (yea right) then he has to be one of the dumbest people on the planet.

JP nailed it right on the head. What a load of crap. You're makign 25m/yr and you're gonna inject 'some stuff' into yourself?
One thing I'm curious about that hasn't ben discussed (so far as I've seen), is how much have these players' agents known about what was going on? And yes, maybe I am looking for anothere xcuse to hate on Scott Boras...

Here's the article I mentioned yesterday, my grandmother Sonya Hamlin is the second expert quoted. Between that and thisarticle from steroid experts saying that the twice a month regimen of Primobolan that he claimed to be on being a totally ludicrous training plan I think we can say goodbye to the credibility of the press conference
