Nate, I find it hilarious\pathetic that you cant have a serious conversation about trade, or comment on anything all year. But somehow find the time to ridicule me. I at least respected Bren's post and used it as constructive criticism. But honestly of all the people in the league, you have the least right to comment on this.
Yeesh Jake, get over yourself. This isn't about some hidden agenda to come out of the woodwork and slight you at every opportunity. Its about the process.
I said I appreciated the intentions of the project, but thought far less of the effort. And, although Brandon still may have won this poll(I wouldn't know, I stopped participating out of principle), the point remains. His top prospects were not painted in as good a light as they should have been, and its a disservice to him to not request a top 10 or put together as comprehensive a top 10 as you could have.
Maybe I would have submitted a top 10 or maybe I wouldn't have. Its not a full roster analysis as Z was requesting - its not so much the typing on the phone that's troublesome, its the researching, as I'm sure bren or someone else on a cell can attest.. - in any case, those who had not submitted a top 10 were not even asked to do so or given the opportunity pending knowledge of the showdown.
Anyway, I've said all I am going to say. Again, Jake, it has nothing to do with you personally, I don't have it out for you, I could care less about whatever personal differences you may perceive us as having, and if you at some point didn't like what I had to say about it or how I said it, get over it.

I mean - Nate's right. I don't think the effort of getting this up was being disrespected - I think it was the actual thing that was up was half-assed. I think anyone who's done a prospect ranking, power ranking, etc. knows just how ridiculously long it does take. There is something to be said for follow-through and doing something 100% instead of 50% that I think a lot of people miss these days - and it bugs me.
I want to make sure to say it's no knock on Jake - I think this is a fantastic idea - but I guess I'm a believer in doing something right as opposed to not at all.

Half assed effort is far more than most efforts some GM's put into this league anyway.
Nice work Jake.
Nice work Jake.
