Draft Status of 06 Players
Draft Status of 06 Players
AKA Farewell to the ExCo.
As my last official act as an ExCo member it is my pleasure to announce that we have decided to roll 6 players into 0 players at the end of the draft. I will be checking the rosters at the end of the draft to ensure that everyone has their players correctly classified, so the sooner you can get 6 players out of draft slots and onto your inactive/active roster the easier it'll be. Also, in case there's any confusion even though the draft start will be delayed a few hours the pick trading deadline is still midnight (or 13 minutes from now).
It's been a fun ride on the ExCo, I don't think we could have made two better choices than Aaron and Andrew, good luck guys.

Grace period between the end of the draft and roster status to be in compliance?
I would suggest something between 72 hours to a week (with all trades suspended). With there not being any games affected, I don't see this to be an unfair request.

ah..I was referring to the draft status, not the roster limit.
At what point do we need to have all of the '06 guys protected on the 40 man? The minute the draft is over, or is there a grace period?
Sorry if my original question was unclear.

You shouldn't be looking at your 06's as draft players anymore, anyway. You should be looking at them on your 40-man, which is what I was saying. The minute the draft is over, you should be compliant factoring in the 06 players. That's why you've seen a bunch of us dropping players already. I'm waffling on whether or not to use all of my picks in the draft (I have 6 and 5 07 players). I know that come that 6th pick, I'm either going to have to drop an 07, drop a player from my 40 man (including my 06 picks), or release the pick.
