From Rotoworld:
Astros purchased C Humberto Quintero's contract from Triple-A Round Rock.
The team might be sending down a catcher hitting just .145 in J.R. Towles, but they're calling up a catcher hitting just .237 in the minor leagues to backup Brad Ausmus, who's hitting just .195. It's a fortress of suckitude.
Meanwhile, IBC Quintero is doing well in his 2nd year backing up Kenji Johjima for the Rockies, batting .308/.400 in just 26 AB's, but has thrown out both base runners who have attempted to steal off of him.
With IBC Johjima hitting .329/.356/.916 with 11 HR's, it's no surprise that Quintero has only managed 26 AB's.
