IBC Fantasy League 2026

Post by Orioles »

I reactivated the IBC fantasy baseball league from last year (ESPN.com, 10 teams, H2H - categories, 6x6 scoring w/ OPS and HD). Nick finished with the best record, and beat Pat B. in the championship 7-5.

If you were in the league last year, and do not want to run it back, let me know and we'll try to find a replacement. If you'd like to join us this year, I can always add teams. Unless anyone has particularly strong feelings about changes to last year's format, we'll just stick with the same. Currently set for snake draft, but I always love an auction, so that's an option. We need a date for the draft/auction (if we have enough takers for a decent league), so I'll throw Sunday, March 22 at 8 PM EDT out there as a possibility.

I've never done an auction, so I'm down for something different if you guys want to.

Ok, I posted a poll to the league page here. The choices are Snake Draft, Auction, or No Preference. Please vote if you intend to participate this season.

These take forever...I do them for football and a 1 hr draft goes to 2 1/2 hr.

Depends how quick you have the timers set to. As long as people don't get too cute with the slow-bidding and gamesmanship and shit you can rip through one in 1.5 to 2 hrs I bet. These ESPN draft rooms move things along pretty well.

Ok, 5 votes. League has a pulse (barely), and likely a snake draft.

I've increased the number of teams to 12, in case we're lucky enough that all 10 GMs return and 1 or 2 more want to join. Here's the invite to join the IBC Fantasy Throwdown 2026 league on ESPN.com. Please give me a heads up if you participated last year and do not want to run it back, so I can remove you and adjust the number of teams accordingly.

Ok guys. Same 10 GMs from last year, since nobody has indicated they won't return this year, and no new takers.

I've set the draft to this Sunday 3/22 at 9 PM EDT. 60 secs max per pick. Should go reasonably quickly.

Devastated.

Looks like we have 9 and need one more.

If nobody has one more, we'll go with 9.

It would just be an uneven schedule. I prefer roto anyway. I'll post another poll, but if we don't get one more that might be the way to go instead of H2H.
