for those playing for next season

Post by DBacks »

I have players available that might be of some service...

SP Brian Burres - he's a 27 year old LHP who has gone 4-4 with a 3.16 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP while starting for the O's in the tough AL East.

RP Jim Johnson - the 24 year old RHP has a 1.32 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP in 27 innings out of the pen for the O's. Johnson has always had the stuff, and it seems like he's putting it all together.

SP Darrel Rasner - The 27 year old has posted solid numbers in each of the last 3 seasons everytime the Yanks have given him a shot. This time he's 3-1 through 4 starts with a 1.80 ERA and 14 Ks compared to 3 BBs.

SP Odalis Perez - Odalis is only 30, and seems to have gotten his career back on track in Washington. His schedule has been brutal, but he's still managed a 4.13 ERA through 11 starts. Anyone looking for a veteran lefty to fill out a rotation, he's your man.

C Steve Holm - anyone need of a backup catcher under 30 should take a look at Steve Holm. he's hitting .273/.347 with an OPS over .800.

SP Kyle Lohse - another RHP under 30 who is having a solid season. In his move to the STL, Kyle is 4-2, with a 4.26 ERA.

OF Skip Schumaker - LaRussa's favorite boy is batting leadoff for the Cards and doing a solid job of it. his line sits at .293/.363 while being perfect in the SB department and walking as much as he Ks. He's only 28 and seems for real after hitting .333 last year as well.

IF Martin Prado - with the way Chipper and Kelly Johnson get injured, this 24 year old gets a ton of ABs. He walks much more than he Ks and is sitting at .282/.383/.462 on the season.

3B Neil Walker - One of Pitt's top prospects, he figures to get his chance once the Bays and Nadys of the world are dealt at the deadline.

Looking for solid bats at the corner OF spots. Also possibly bats at SS or 1B, and, of course, starting pitching is always welcome. Looking to compete next year so decent projections are not required. hit me up through PM, email at cubs@ibcleague.com, or AIM at matchboxgabe.
