The mini draft is concluded. The Padres drafted, among other assets, pick 1.5. Not sure I will trade the pick but I am considering offers ... so far I have 4 unsolicited trade proposals.
I need SP (a familiar theme) ... and I need a draft pick back. Doesn't have to be high (round 4 or even 5 ...). I have two good packages already ... And 2 more that need to be more robust.

Re: Pick 1.5
I have enjoyed some good discussions with a number of GMs about this pick. I have had some decent offers but at this point in time I have decided to hold onto the pick.
As I have told a few of the GMs, when I first threw out the idea of trading pick 1.5 I was pretty sure I had the makings of a decent shot at a Wild Card team. Unfortunately as ZiPs have rolled out (before they came to an abrupt halt this past week) Verlander, Merrifield, Wacha and a few other projections have not been as strong as I hoped. Fortunately Olivares came out better then I expected and - no surprise - Tatis is a stud while Machado projected about as I expected so I have still have some players to build around for 2024 and beyond.
