April Wrap-Up

Post by Yankees »

Record: 18-9, 2.5 games up in AL Central

What's Gone Right:
*Chipper Jones - The man's leading the IBC in BA by 62 points - and OPSing 1.257.
*Mike McKenry [/b] - My C vs. righties is OPSing 1.023 with 6 homers. Also throwing out 38.5% of runners.
*Milton Bradley - Torn the cover off the ball since coming over via trade, has pummelled 7 homers in 72 ab's, and OPSing 1.089.
*The Offense - Team OPS of .862, 3rd in league in runs.
*Bullpen - CJ Wilson has a 0.00 era, Brian Wilson has a 0.75 era, Aaron Heilman has a 2.93 era, Joe Thatcher has a 3.21 era, and Eric Hull has a 3.65 era.

What's Gone Wrong:
*Starting Pitching - Fausto Carmona has a 4.28 era, Joe Saunders has a 4.50 era, Jair Jurrjens has a 4.81 era, Rich Hill has a 5.40 era, John Bale has a 6.52 era, and Bob Cramer has a 9.82 era.
*Todd Helton - .683 ops - yikes...
*Jeff Kent - .785 ops, need him to heat up...
*Injuries - Have lost Soriano, Wigginton, Bale, Wolfe, and Escobar to DL stints. Any consistency would be great...

On Deck:
*Adam Dunn over via trade starting on Monday - should give more pop to lineup that wasn't being helped by Hafner's .423 slg % in the 4-hole.
*Alfonso Soriano and Ty Wigginton to rejoin lineup in first week of May - giving much needed pop back into lineup - do need to recognized Mike Lamb, Andy Phillips, and Nyjer Morgan for more then carrying their own weight...[/b]
