Marlon Byrd went on the DL April 17 but the Indians have played him several times since. Kelly, get his ass on the bench. We'll figure out what the penalty will be.

That's one whack, Byrd is out for two additional weeks. 1st offense for Cleveland. Everyone check your box scores, its up to all of us to police the DL.

Someone simming forgot to fix this and Byrd played again for the Indians in the game today.

With the discussion today, would have thought this would have gotten taken care of before the SIMing tonight.

Would like to know if this is going to get re-SIM'd, since it was brought up before the games were SIM'd tonight and should have been corrected.

An updated MP was never sent in. I check the rosters email every night right before I sim the games. DL'ing Marlon Byrd after just getting in was not really on my radar and the thought eluded me. An email from Cleveland never came saying to DL the player either.

He's been farmed now, but I read many of these threads at school so I don't have the sim software there. I check the email for roster adjustments and that's that. There will be no re-sim, it had been established last year that there would be no re-sims for injury violations. Also, the game was 13-2, so it's not as though Byrd hit a walk off home run that won the game.

Hey fellas, just got home about 15 mins ago and sent the MP. I don't have the DMB at work, I'll make sure to bring my disk and install it tomorrow to be ready for such emergencies in the future. Sorry again.

That's a crappy excuse. As the guy SIMing games it should have been "on your radar".

It was my understanding that the GM SIMing games is suppose to deactivate DL'd players when it has been brought to the leagues attention before SIMing any more games. I can understand not being aware if it hadn't already been posted on the main DL thread that day, but it had.

Since its the SIM guys job to deactivate DL'd players when its been brought to the leagues attention, maybe checking the DL thread before SIMing would be a good idea.

Thanks for the fuck up though.

Yeah, I understand the ruling last season regarding no re-SIMing for injury DL violations because they might not be caught until days and games after the fact, but I don't think the intent of that was to cover up fuck ups by the GM running the SIM's because he forgot to read the DL thread that day when it was announced that a player was playing while injured and needed to be deactivate.

Just so everyone is clear on the DL injury rule regarind SIMing.....

7. If a player is found to be playing when injured, the person simming the games will immediately deactivate him, no roster adjustment will be allowed.

Alright, I'll leave it at that. Maybe it cost me a game in the end, maybe it didn't, but in the future it might be a good idea for the SIM guy to pay attention to the DL thread before SIMing games.
