Chipper Jones is totally f'ing with the MLB and the IBC - let's go to the #'s:
MLB:
.442, 7 hr, 20 rbi, .485 obp, .733 slg
1st in BA, 3rd in RBI, 2nd in OBP, 3rd in OPS, 3rd in HR, 3rd in SLG %
IBC:
.478, 5 hr, 25 rbi, .547 obp, .761 slg
1st in BA, 1st in OBP, 3rd in SLG %, 6th in RBI, 1st in OPS
He went 2-5 in the IBC yesterday and lowered his average by 5 points...
I now realize that I have probably jinxed him forever, but I've been biting my tongue for a while now...

5/5 Update:
Chipper Jones has been unrelenting in both the IBC and MLB.
In the IBC Chipper is on a vicious 17 game hitting streak, where he is 37-74 for a BA of .500. During this time he's slugged 4 hr's, 10 2b's, and has 17 rbi's and 8 bb's. For the season he is first in the IBC in BA, OBP, and OPS. He is 11-17 (.647) in 4 May games.
In the MLB, Chipper is batting a robust .425 (1st in MLB), and is 2nd in the NL in Slg %, OBP, and OPS. He is also 3rd in the NL w/ 9 homers, and 4th w/ 27 rbi.
Chipper is leading the MLB BA race by 56 points, and the IBC race by 90 points.
At some point I realize I will actually be jinxing him.
