Outstanding issues

Post by Rangers »

Can we list them here and determine if we're ready to vote on them? I think that enough time has passed, and we're sort of "back to normal business" enough that it is time to make sure that we're getting everything taken care of.

I think that one order of business should be that we need to decide whether to include a process for the league as a whole to overrule us in a similar fashion to what they can do with a TRC trade ruling, and if so, what the conditions should be and what standard would have to be met (how many votes to overrule).

We've got a couple of different threads going on involving simming and the DL, not sure if anything needs to be voted on with that. It does seem like simming has been going well though.

I wasn't completely sure about exactly what we've officially settled (besides whether you can trade to fix your "violation" within the time window) and/or informed the league on as far as dealing with roster violations. That's probably something that we need to move to a vote on, I'm thinking.

And I know that the whole sub-AA issue is divisive, but as a follow-up to the league overrule, I think that we need to decide if it is time for us to address this in exco, have the league vote on it (if we decide to allow that), or leave it untouched. In talking with a couple of you guys, as well as Ken in TRC, some feel that this issue ties in with the trading of draft picks, so if that discussion needs to take place, fine. But I'm ready to get it settled in one manner or another.

Also, I was kind of tuned-out on the rules page updates because of Bren, but if there is work to be done here, let's have a couple of us volunteer and get it done. I'd be happy to help with it if I need to.

Please list your thoughts along with any other issues that are out there, but let's conclude table talk on some of this and get moving.

Bren sent me the latest version of what he had for the new rules as he walked out the door. I don't mind taking charge of finishing it. I'll probably end up making a couple posts for clarification on the things I'm not sure about/want to make clearer.
