It's June...a block sounds good

Post by Guardians »

I've got some guys overachieving and a few underachieving, so I'm open to discussions on these and others. Just looking to see what the interest levels are, now that the league (likely) isn't crumbling around us anymore.

Yonathan Daza: A guy I've admired for a long time and I just got him last year from TB. He's always had a great bat and great D and he's just now gotten his shot in the majors. And he's crushing. .330/.370/.403 to-date as a rookie. He's never had much power, but he's hitting line drives and getting on base with strong D. .295 average projection for 2021.

Yuli Gurriel: What a season so far and has to get an All-Star Game look. .318/.387/.519 10 HR 48 RBI 37 R 11.1 BB% 9.6 K%. .314 BABIP .202 ISO. 37 years old, but kicking butt.

Carlos Santana: Always a fan of the walk, he's continuing to show a great eye. .246/.370/.403 11 HR 39 RBI 38 R 15.9 BB% 14.2 K%. .250 BABIP .157 ISO. A little unlucky so far with the BABIP, but doing what he typically does. He's starting for me.

Nolan Jones: Top 50 prospect at 3B and #1 on the Cleveland Baseball Team list. He's struggled to hit for power so far in AAA, but even as a just-turned 23-year-old, continues to show a great eye with a 16.6% BB rate. Comes with a 2.1 FWAR projection for 2021.

Trevor Richards: He was moved from TB to Milwaukee earlier this year and has taken off. Milwaukee seems to be using him primarily as a reliever so far and it's been working. 11.31 K/9 and 2.19 BB/9 in 24.2 IP with a 3.65 ERA. He's 28, so we'll see if this is his forever role or not.

Prospects: There are varying levels of guys I have/am willing to move. A couple are wildcards with really nice upside, but more development to go. Others are a little closer to the Show. I'm not targeting moving prospects at this point, but no one is untouchable.

Inquire within.

Once I get a little healthy in the infield, I'll also have available:

Tony Kemp: Having a filthy first half at .280/.401/.448 4 HR 17 RBI 26 R 4 SB with a 16% BB rate and 13.8% K rate. He's hitting more line drives and fly balls than his career averages and his BABIP is up around league average for the first time. Playable at four positions in DMB.
