DMB Version 12

Post by Cardinals »

A bit of good (and surprising) news for everybody today: https://diamond-mind.com/pages/version- ... pify_email
Here are some of the enhancements that we are working on for version 12.

Three-batter minimum. The option to enforce MLB's new rule that requires pitchers to either face a minimum of three batters in an appearance or pitch to the end of a half-inning, with exceptions for injuries. This option can be enabled/disabled in the Rules/options for your League/Org in the game's Organizer window.

7-inning games. Support for games of a varying number of innings to accommodate the 7-inning double-header rule introduced in 2020 and that is used in minor league games. This change includes the necessary adjustments to the computer manager to recognize late-inning situations based on the scheduled number of innings.

Runner-on-second for extra innings. In tied games, every half-inning after the final scheduled inning will begin with a runner on second base. This option can be enabled/disabled for the regular-season and the postseason separately in the Rules/options for your League/Org in the game's Organizer window.

No-pitch intentional walk. The option to allow intentional walks to be granted without the pitcher throwing four balls. This option can be enabled/disabled in the Rules/options for your League/Org in the game's Organizer window.

Restrictions on batters pitching. Position players are unable to pitch except in extra innings or when their team is ahead or trailing by more than six runs. This option can be enabled/disabled in the Rules/options for your League/Org in the game's Organizer window.

Historical Ballpark Database. DMB12 will include Diamond Mind's complete historical ballpark database updated through the 2020 season, previously sold separately.

Allow Pitchers to Bat Other than Ninth. Create saved lineups with the pitcher's spot saved anywhere in the batting order for non-DH games.

Various fixes for issues reported since the release of version 11.

FIXED: First-round postseason results not updating correctly.

FIXED: Encyclopedia database restore function failed version check

FIXED: Computer manager uses position player as starting pitcher when saved lineup is incomplete.

FIXED: Incorrectly display catcher fatigue message for dual-role players after pitching.

FIXED: Placing a player injured on the first day of a season with a duration of fewer than 15 days on the DL can sometimes cause the game to freeze.

This page is a work in progress so check back often. We will be adding new features and fixes as they are confirmed.

Great to hear...they missed one thing though...openers to be used and a normal starter to follow.
