DL issue

Post by Padres »

Using this as an example:

Brendan Ryan appears to have gotten into the Game on 3/31.

The Cardinals put him on the DL before the start of the MLB season 3/30, however since we never really got a ruling from the Ex-Co on how those beginning of the season DL transactions from the MLB were going to be handled, and since he still appears to be active on the Angels 25 man roster in the SIM, it looks like his two week DL stint won't start until this coming week.

That or he's ineligible this week and it counts as a DL violation. It appears this is one the Ex-Co will need to make a decision on.

I think we should start the DL with the database that comes out today. Ryan and all others DL'd are starting their two weeks today ... I think since we did not make a ruling we should do so now ...

There's a problem with that, I already got a resim from Bren because he inadvertently played Andy LaRoche, several in the league, myself included, chose not to play guys on the DL operating under the assumption that this time will count. I don't believe those GMs should be penalized.

I didn't play Castro because he was on the DL ... but I still think this is the way to go ...

I'm all for offering immunity as long as they see their time on the DL this week.

Fair enough, something like since we left it ambiguous if you benched a guy in week 1 that counts, if he played it starts now.
