SAN MATEO, CA - March 19, 2008 - Imagine Sports, Inc., a leading online multiplayer sports gaming company, today announced a strategic partnership with Baseball Prospectus (a unit of Prospectus Entertainment Ventures, LLC), the leading independent destination for baseball news, analysis, opinion and statistics and the publisher of the New York Times best-selling annual Baseball Prospectus. Under the terms of the partnership, the companies will share content and co-develop baseball games. As part of the deal, the companies will promote each other's products, and Imagine Sports' highly-proclaimed Diamond MindÆ games will become the "Official Simulation Games" of Baseball Prospectus.

WOW. We went from fearing the demise of DMB to them joining forces with the other top statistical projection system out there and unquestionably can expect a better product. Excellent. Someone somewhere realized that despite DMB's faults as a game from a software standpoint, it would be stupid to just abandon developing one of the better annual sets of projections. Pretty excited to see what BP + DMB come up with.

DMBDayne : Baseball Prospectus (BP). We will be producing new disks with BP
DMBDayne :It will be a joint effort... we help them, they help.
DMBDayne :Combining DMB's simulation tech with BP's research can only make both better.

For those of you who don't know, those are quotes from the current "owner" of Diamond Mind.

Maybe DMB will stop projecting injured pitchers to pitch like gods... Carpenter and Harden both have completely ridiculous projections.
