Indians' Trade Block

Post by Angels »

As the deadline approaches, a few people have asked me about some of my veteran players. Here’s the list of guys I’m most willing to move. I’m also happy to keep any of these guys if I don’t get a deal I like. I’m looking for young MLBers, prospects, and/or picks, depending on the player.

HITTERS
Renato Nunez, DH/CINF/COF, R/R, 25 yr old
MLB stats: .251/.320/.510/.830, 25 HRs, 61 RBIs, 1.5 WAR. Don’t look now, but he’s 6th in the AL in home runs.

Hanser Alberto, INF, R/R 26 yr old
MLB stats: .313/.331/.409/.740, 1.4 WAR. Don’t look now, but he’s 5th in the AL in batting. And in DB, he’s rated VG defensively all over the INF.

Niko Goodrum, INF/OF, R/S, 27 yr old
MLB stats: .252/.323/.420, 11 SBs, 1.2 WAR. Excellent glove man, has played literally every position except C and P. He’s now gotten double-digit HRs and SBs in back-to-back years. Great guy to have on your bench.

Tomas Telis, C/1B, R/S, 28 yr old
AAA stats: .304/.341/.470, 34% CS. And his ZiPS projection is .260/.305/.347, which is probably better than your backup catcher now. Plus, he switch-hits.

PITCHERS
Matthew Boyd, LH SP, 28 yr old
MLB stats: 6-8, 3.94 ERA, 3.47 FIP, 1.126 WHIP, 12.1 K/9, 3.3 WAR. Leads the AL with 6.14 K:BB ratio. Durable lefty who’s figuring it out and has a lot of good years ahead of him.

Steven Brault, LH SP, 27 yr old
MLB stats: 3-1, 4.15 ERA, 105 ERA+ overall, but since he moved into the rotation, he’s undefeated in 9 starts with a 3.35 ERA with about a K/IP. He’s due back from the DL next week.

Jaime Barria, RH SP, 23 yr old
He’s had a bad season at both MLB and AAA this year, but he’s got a very usable projection: 10-9, 4.31 ERA, 4.57 FIP, 1.5 WAR. Consider him a cheap option for SP depth for your playoff push.

Emilio Pagan, RH RP, 28 yr old
MLB stats: 2-2, 7 SV, 2.11 ERA, 3.44 FIP, 0.867 WHIP, 12.4 K/9, 1.5 WAR as a RP. Late-inning option who’s been excellent.

Kyle Crick, RH RP, 26 yr old
MLB stats: 3-5, 3.65 ERA, 10.7 K/9. This is pretty much also his ZiPS projection. Durable MRP piece for your pen with loads of K’s.

I’m not actively shopping others at this point, but if you’re interested in someone else, please ask. No one is untouchable in the right deal, but I’m very unlikely to move any of my top prospects, Bell, Devers, Buehler, or Diaz.
