I know the "deadline" has passed, but I swapped out second basemen in my lineup, so it would be something like:

1. Taveras - CF
2. Utley* - 2B
3. Holliday - LF
4. Fielder* - 1B
5. Cabrera - 3B
6. Hermida* - RF
7. DeRosa - SS
8. J Drew* - DH
9. Ross - C

Taveras could easily bump down to 9 to bunch slide the good bats to the top. And depending on projections, Stephen Drew or Alex Gordon could always figure in.

Nope - sorry guys - was explaining to Jagger my life has been pretty crazy - if you want to keep redoing yoru lineup, do it - I'm going to be sitting down on Sunday to do my expenses from Atlanta and this...

This lineup is tops pretty good, may not hit for the highest AVG, but will hit for plenty of power and get plenty of BB's..

2. HanRam - SS
3. Wright - 3B
4. Dunn - LF
5. Thome - 1B
6. Posada - C
7. Jones - CF
8. Iwamura - 2B
9. R. Sanders - DH

Ichiro and Hanram = Ill Speed at the top of the lineup, with Hanram looking more and more like a future middle of the order hitter with plus speed. Wright, Dunn, Thome provide a good middle of the order punch - with Dunn/Thome having "light tower" power. Posada is coming off his best season in a long time. Jones is solid at the bottom of the lineup, even after a down year. Iwamura kills lefties, can slide up against them. Sanders, is there by default. Could play Linden and DH Dunn. Improves the D, but, this is just about the lineup's.. heh. Overall, not going to be the highest BA, but sort my offensive stats by power categories or Runs and we'll be near the top.

I'm looking to shore up a couple spots before the season starts.. but, given my spotty access, I'm prepared to go into the season with what I have. I don't see a need to panic and blow this team up after a 104 win season.

Here's the deal - my life has been insane lately...

I returned from Atlanta to an absolute firestorm here in NYC...normally this time of year we ease into our sales and marketing meetings with the beauty that attendance is up...well you may have heard, it's down...so not only are we preparing for our meetings (I'm a key part of 2 presentations), helping to close out our new deal w/ Ticketmaster (which has me way over my head), collecting data and distributing best practices on group sales, trying to maintain the premium seating area, and doing $15,000 worth of expenses from Atlanta I have 3 seconds during the day. This all ends next week - and I'm so zonked from New Year's - that I'm doing nothing the weekend of the 11th-13th but put myself back together.

I WILL BE DOING LINEUPS THAT WEEKEND - that is a 100% absolute promise. You have until the 11th to resubmit your lineup. If you do not submit a lineup, I will use the last one you posted here or if you did not post I will create your lineup. I will post a reminder on this next week.

We are in Miami this weekend for our meetings, so I will not be available much over the next 2 days, and then not at all this weekend - enjoy the veal, I hear it's fantastic.
