According to the Estrellas Orientales Baseball Club, Wilin Rosario has agreed to a deal with a team in the Korean Baseball Organization.

If true, it's surprising that the powerful 26-year-old couldn't find a deal stateside that was more suitable. Despite a disappointing 2015 season, Rosario is a career .273/.306/.473 hitter with 71 homers and 241 RBI in 447 games.

Jonny Gomes has signed a one-year, $2 million contract with Japan's Rakuten Golden Eagles.

He can earn an additional $1 million through incentives. Gomes didn't generate much interest in the states after Kansas City declined his club option in November. The 35-year-old said he has no plans to retire and wouldn't rule out a return to MLB. He hit .213 across 225 at-bats for the Braves and Royals last season.

Brewers released LHP Pat Misch.

Misch got a more lucrative offer from the Orix Buffaloes in Japan, so the Brewers will let him free of his non-guaranteed minor league deal. The 34-year-old left-hander spent the entire 2015 season at the Triple-A level, posting a 3.25 ERA in 72 innings for the Marlins' Pacific Coast League affiliate in New Orleans. He last appeared in the majors in 2011 with the Mets.
