Matt Olson and Ozzie Albies

Post by Guardians »

I'm tossing him them to see who needs help now and into the future at either position.

Olson has a zips of 260/360/515 with 37 HR 116 RBI 95 R and 3.7 war. He turned 29 earlier this season. I'm not looking for anything in particular if I move him.

Albies has a zips of 273/327/478 with 26 HR 97 RBI 93 R and 3.3 war. He's 27. If I move him, I probably need a 2B replacement since I'm a little light there.

Both are studs and neither will come cheap, but my team is in a funk and I'm trying to figure out the fix. When you get swept by a bunch of trash pandas like the Blue Jays, it causes you to reconsider life itself (Hi Dave)

Clearly, Detroit and Minnesota are paying for wins. I'm calling for an investigation!

I am paying for wins, but as a government employee, I get them at a reduced rate.

Only low-ball offers so far on Olson and Albies, but they're still on the block. I'm also open to moving Eflin or Nola, and other role players (Haniger, Fraley, Turner, Hamilton).

I'm really not sure what's going on with my team this season, so I could be convinced to either sell for prospects/picks or build for this year. It's a little murky at the moment.

If I do more selling than buying, I would also include relievers to the block.

Are they “low ball” or actually fair?

Just curious because I think all of us and you have a different perception of “low ball”.

"All of us" would be you and about three other people who complain about every deal I make, regardless of the deal. Feel free to make me an offer if you'd like to participate.
