Re: 2019 Draft (2020 Calendar Year)
They have to sign before the draft starts, so by Jan 31.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6180
Going forward, players have to have signed by Jan. 31 to be eligible for the draft. No ifs and ors buts about it. If a foreign player signs on February 12, they are ineligible to be drafted.

Re: 2019 Draft (2020 Calendar Year)
With the 141st selection the White Sox select SS Tyler Fitzgerald ... the 24th SS drafted so far.
Patti and I have known Tyler and his parents quite a while ... His father, Mike, was drafted twice in the first round (1983 and 1984) and played briefly (13 games) for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1988. After leaving professional baseball he was the 1B and clean-up hitter for one of the slow pitch softball teams I played on in Springfield, Illinois. (We actually had 3 players who were drafted and played minor league baseball on that team ... small wonder I batted eighth.) His mother, LeAnn, was an Administrative Assistant for me at one point as well as becoming one of Patti's (my wife) best friends - in fact, she was was the maid of honor at our wedding.
After getting drafted in the 4th round, Tyler played at 3 levels with a combined slash line of .276/.358/.395 ending his season with Augusta Greenjackets where I imagine he will start this upcoming season. He should move up to San Jose and hopefully finish the year with the Richmond Flying Squirrels who, like the Portland Sea Dogs play in Eastern (AA) League. Presuming he starts the year with Richmond in 2021 and is still with them when they travel to Portland - normally in late May/early June - Mike and LeAnn plan to stay with Patti and I while we take in the series, share a few good Maine micro-crafts and catch up.
A fun recent article on Tyler is at: https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories ... -of-parts/
And with this pick, the IBC Pale Hose are done drafting this year.

Re: 2019 Draft (2020 Calendar Year)
With Pick 145, The IBC Rockies will again go to the MLB Indians well and select:
Jose Pastrano - SS
I could not find a birthdate for him. BA looks like it has his player profile combined with his brother, also named Jose Pastrano, who is in the A's organization.
edit.. Birthdate 9/12/2002
