My wife texted me the news - thought he had died on the field at first.
Dude just got married last December and his wife had a rainy day fund saving money so their kids could go see their dad pitch (they don't have kids yet).

From what I recall when Darryl Kile died, he had 2 years left on his contract and his wife got all of that money. Skaggs had another year of arbitration left before free agency, hopefully she'll get something from that
