Useful guys for a shortstop

Post by Giants »

At this point the big hole in my lineup is at SS, with Taylor Motter projected to be there right now (93 OPS+ but probably getting a FR projection). With that in mind I thought I’d see if I could turn some of the other useful pieces on my roster into a better solution. Not looking for an all glove no bat guy, already have one of those in CF.

For the right guy:
Sonny Gray or Danny Duffy (would probably want a 4th starter type back)

For a solid guy
useful projections:
The aforementioned Motter
Jed Lowrie
Matt Duffy (I really thought he’d be the guy. Stupid Hechevarria)
Yolmer Sanchez
Howie Kendrick
Ian Desmond
Ryan Buchter
Jake Diekman
Alex Cologne
Giovanny Gallegos
Wilmer Font
Brandon McCarthy

prospects:
Pretty much anyone not named Kopech, Harrison, or Kieboom

Also Buddy Baumann (103 ERA+) and Tim Dillard (101 ERA+) both have SP projections, you know what that means guys who need a 3rd or 4th starter!
