There's still 4-7 games left in the IBC this season, but with GMs looking to make moves, it's a good time to look ahead to the offseason.
First, Pat B is leaving Canada. He's a Cubs fan, and will head to the NL Central next season to take the Cubs. We'll see how two sim magicians do with Ken and Pat in the same division now.
Dan V has been trying hard to get out of Miami, and finally punched his ticket. The Marlins will head back to the AL East, and will take over the Blue Jays. Dan's been in Miami for nearly a decade and has wanted out for years, so ExCo approved the move.
That means the ghost of Gabe's team is headed to Miami. If anybody who hasn't had a chance to move really feels strongly about Miami, let me know and we'll bounce it around in ExCo, but I'm not expecting anybody to.
On that note, I'm working towards getting a GM in place hopefully by the end of the month. That'll give the new Marlins GM two months to plan for the draft and get everything rolling.
