As most people in this league know, I enjoy John Sickels about as much as I enjoy fighting a honey badger while getting a root canal...but he's another data point. So, enjoy this steaming pile of opinion based on no actual scouting. 29 IBC Nats represented...

Never really on the same page as Sickels since he tends to not like some of the all tools, boom-or-bust, int'l wildcard types I fall in love with (a few Puigs but mostly Joel Guzmans).

If other lists went 175 players deep, they would cover the majority of my team, as well.......such is the life of a rebuilding roster.

Well, he doesn't really, actually scout. His work is done almost entirely off of stats, what he reads, and what he's told. It's why he was eventually let go at ESPN. Once the rise of the internet and deep keeper dynasty fantasy baseball leagues created a much deeper interest in scouting players...they realized that he wasn't actually doing anything. He lasted so long because no one really cared...and, to be fair to him, he's not a horrible writer.

Yeah, though there's enough scouting info out there now you'd think at this point he'd at least attempt to rank guys like int'l prospects based on his best guess at future value, and not just drop them to the bottom of his rankings because he's got no clue about them.
