Draft reminders
Our draft starts on New Year's Day.
You have 24 hours to make your selection.
Shawn will have the draft page and queue ready to rock in advance of 1/1.
Draft pick trading stops once the draft starts.
Once you declare that you are done drafting, you can trade a player off your '13 draft class. You cannot trade a draftee if you are still drafting.

So someone brought up a good point that I would like clarity on. Darvish's posting fee was agree to in December, thus making him eligible for our draft...because he did not sign until mid-January. With Tanaka, there is consent that each team involved will pay the $20 million...but no one will agree to that fee until they agree to the contract with Tanaka...thus making him ineligible for this draft because he has not signed anything with anyone. Or are we going by the spirit of the contract, meaning that since teams are agreeing to pay the fee to negotiate, the fee is agreed to in some capacity.
I couldn't care less either way...but it would be nice to know where we're landing.

The rule is pretty clear, signed by January 1. It was put in place to eliminate any doubts as to who was eligible. Reevaluating it now would create those doubts in the future, because there always seems to be a reason to make exceptions.
Apparently my recollection was incorrect. I apologize for any confusion I caused with this post.

I wish there was a way to not throw away what should be a pretty decent projection for the 2014 season. Appreciate the rule - just hate wasting the projection.

I've been adding guys to my draft queue - but it still says my queue is empty (yet the guys I added have disappeared from the pool). I've tried closing/reopening my browser, etc.
