September/October SIGNINGS

One of the things that was originally part of this discussion was also September/October free agent signings.
One thing this does, is completely insures that no invalid players particpate in the playoffs. The other thing is that free agent signings are very closely tied in with trades. Making one valid in the D-base but not the other while both are happening in OOPSS would likely create some tricky problems. I.e. with uneven trades... 2 for 1, 3 for 1, 4 for 2, etc.
IMO, these two issues should be tied together.
Thoughts?

At first blush, I don't have a problem with September and October signings not going into the DB. However, it would work either way, it would just mean a little different task for the updated DB after the playoffs.
