Any AL GMs itchin to head east?

The place to come to talk about all things IBC related. Or not IBC related. Just keep it reasonably respectful.

Yes but what happens in a few years when Jim is good and ready to compete? Are we going to go into this again?

Honestly, I think that the fluidity of the league is a drawback and would love to see us try, if only for a 2 or 3 year period NOT MOVING.
I would not anticipate moving again UNLESS I was asked to for the betterment of the league or if the White Sox ever became available.

I would prefer to play in the AL - even if it means the ALE.

I volunteered to move just to attempt to settle this thing. Last year, when Bren was looking for new GMs, I also volunteered to move to the ALE if opening the Mets franchise made recruiting easier for him.

If, in 3 years, we had the same kind of crazy imbalance we have right now (which seems unlikely), we'd probably evaluate it then and if there were willing parties and moves that would fix the problem, there would be no more of a reason not to do it then as there is now.

If you'd prefer not to be part of the discussion, nobody would really object.

I'd prefer if you left it until the season is over. I do still feel obligated to read as many posts as possible and this thread is just getting to be pointless.

I see this thread as the equivalent of masturbation...a nice time killer but nothing compared to REAL action.
