Since we've discussed bringing Nate back, we should probably each at least review this thread to remind ourselves of the past. From what's been said he's more settled in these days, but just to draw a contrast, Pat's departure wasn't a slow, inattentive decline that annoyed the league. I'd love to have an engaged Nate in the league, though.

If Nate has time to do it I'm all for bringing him aboard. As we've seen with our recent searches, it is harder and harder to find someone that stacks of to the quality of what we have in the league now. At least Nate knows how things work and has proven he is a good GM. Lack of time is what caused him to get booted, he still had a good team. I'd have no issue with bringing him back. Plus, lets face it, most of us are out of ideas on who to bring in. Jeff was talked about as being great and he went over like a lead balloon. I'd rather bring back someone with a good track record that wants back in than roll the dice. It's not like we're bringing back Dave or Kegan

Yeah, as long as he's committed, I don't have any problem giving him the next available team. Judging from his Facebook page, he has seemed to stabilize his life a bit. It's a lot easier than going out for a GM search. And when we brought Kegan back for a second (or third?) time in 2009, he lasted four or five weeks before we moved on. So, if push comes to shove, there's always that.
But yeah, I'm sort of tired of hearing GMs talked up and then having them fall flat on their face. I can think of a certain NL West GM that's guilty of that...
