Bowden on the block.

Post by RedSox »

He was dominant in the hitter friendly California league, and the Sox have continued to challenge him by making him the second youngest pitcher in the Eastern League. Two years younger than Buchholz, he's held his own in what is probably the top prospect proving ground in the minors giving up 2 or fewer runs in 4 of his last 5 starts with nearly a K per inning and 2.55K/BB.

A strong '08 or a trade could quickly put him in the majors.

Why am I putting him on the block? As much as I do like him, he's becoming a flyball pitcher and they just get murdered in my park and division.

What am I looking for? Power. VG and EX. Can live with low BA, but would like a decent walk rate. Infielders over outfielders, lefties over righties, young over old, durable over brittle. Defense not essential.

PM me or just throw out an offer.

(Pimp edit) Sox #4 prospect. #83 BA top 100.

Geez, I would have given a ton more than what Nils did if you'd just waited a few more hours.

Bowden is still on the block. Could use a SP upgrade or hitting upgrade.
