At least he didn't go to the Mets or Braves, he just whored himself out to 7 years of losing. What in the world are the Nats thinking here? Just because no other free agent ever took you up on your offer, let's throw a ton of money at this guy, who turns 32 a month into the season and has 3 good years in a bandbox. They won't regret this deal one bit. Say hello to the new Mo Vaughn

As for the contract, it's not a terrible deal...except for the length. 5 years, I could get behind. 7? Hell no.

We wouldn't even give him 5 so what made the nats think they had to do 7? Good for them, enjoy 4th place.
