So Who Wants To Bolster Their Rotation?

Post by Giants »

With something like 10 of the top 12 pitchers in baseball concentrated on 2 teams I'd imagine that there are other folks around the league looking for arms. With Shaun Marcum about to come back and Gil Meche and Derek Holland around the corner I have a pretty serious logjam of starters, so without further ado a rotation full of guys who might interest contenders. I'm basically looking for next year bats, draft picks, and prospects for these guys, maybe packaging a couple together for a nicer piece if you have multiple holes basically open to anything.

Sean Gallagher - Proj 3.97 ERA 1.38 WHIP 2.0 K/BB Sim 8-3 4.11 ERA 1.38 WHIP 2.28 K/BB, best projecting one year starter out there, just got picked up by the Pirates where we can expect him to get a shot in the rotation.

Pedro Martinez - Proj. 4.50 ERA 1.36 WHIP 2.89 K/BB. The old ace has one more projection in him, I expect him to sign for somebody's stretch run.

Burke Badenhop - Proj. 4.50 ERA 1.45 WHIP 68% GB Sim 4-8 3.78 ERA 1.37 WHIP Real life MLB FIP isn't bad either might have value as a reliever next year

Santiago Casilla - Proj. 4.48 ERA 1.46 WHIP 60% GB Sim 3-3 3.15 ERA 1.42 WHIP Real Life 2.08 ERA and 3.02 FIP for the Giants likely valuable reliever next year

Dan Giese - Proj 4.26 ERA 1.32 WHIP Gave up 3 runs in 6 1/3 in his only start for me. On the road back from Tommy John, been lights out in the Sacramento pen in AAA

Gil Meche - Proj 4.67 ERA 1.41 WHIP Sim: 2-1 3.18 ERA 1.14 WHIP Return from the DL just around the corner, has always massively outsimmed his projections since he's been on my roster.
